Stumey Archers' new 3-speed, lightweight IGH rotary disc hub combines with a beatifully crafted steel frame for what could be the ultimate in low-maintenance, pared-down, minimal urban riding.
Modern compact geometry and a swept riser handlebar combine to provide a slightly shorter, more upright and relaxed overall rider position for confidence-inspiring urban jaunts.
Fully equipped with extended extra-long full-length mudguards, puncture protection tyres, and even a rear luggage rack, the Brixton represents the perfect blend of classic, understated looks combined with the modern, dependable and top-performing componentry.
AKA ‘Thor’s Hammer’ and pronounced ‘Myol-n(ee)r‘ (rolls off the tongue, eh?). Our double-butted, cold-drawn, seamless, Taiwanese chromoly tubeset also goes by the aliases of 4130, Cr-Mo and Chromo. It’s a like-for-like replacement for other, identical branded chromoly tubing and ultimately means a saving can be passed onto you via either a healthy price drop or a little more room for up-speccing elsewhere without sacrificing performance.
Sturmey Archer 3sp IGH
Sturmey's new 3-speed disc rotary internal geared hub is a great bit of kit. Lightweight @ 1095g (to put it in perspective, that's 585g less than a Shimano Alfine 8 IGH), it has a range that can be perfectly geared for urban duties, and, thanks to the rotary shift action you'll not find the traditional Sturmey bell crank or shifter gubbins vunerably placed on the outside of the dropout.
45mm Chromoplastic mudguards are a custom extended length with the longest mudflaps we could find resulting in excellent coverage - dry toes for you and minimal spray for following riders.
Mechanical disc brakes
Shimano TourneyTX mechanical disc brakes are paired with Jagwire KEB-SL compression-less cable outer for optimal braking performance.
