Looking for that ‘one bike’ that will take you almost anywhere, come rain or shine, that you’ll be hard pushed to reach its’ limits, and, most importantly, induce big grins with each and every outing?! Then look no further…
Fast and responsive, yet stable, surefooted and perfectly balanced, the Croix’ 20 personifies fun on two wheels, paved or unpaved. Without doubt the closest bike in our range fitting the fabled 'one bike' mantra. Commuting duties during the week then epic, multi-terrain adventures at the weekend, the Croix is a capable and adaptable beast of a bike that rarely gets fazed whichever way you point it.
With a wider gear range, some great trickle-down tech from Shimano in the form of new Tiagra, excellent multi-surface Clement X’Plor USH tyres, lighter, tubeless-ready hoops, and flared drop handlebars, the Croix’ 20 is more refined and capable than ever before.
The bike you’d choose if (God forbid) you could pick only one – and with two colours on offer this year, you’d best make sure you choose the right one!
Classic seamless Chromoly (as above) but heat-treated to boost tensile strength. Think of it as Chromoly on steroids. It’s heated to around 1600F whereby a structural change in the steels’ crystal lattice occurs (a stronger, more uniform orientation). As it’s stronger we can away with using less of it so thinner butts are the order of the day here, helping to achieve a lighter overall frame weight, without compromising strength.
Generous clearances and eyelets for full-length mudguards and front & rear racks mean the 'Croix morphs quickly and effortlessly into an all-weather load carrier.
TRP's revolutionary Hy/Rd-C brakes combine traditional cable actuation with hydraulic power to great effect, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits associated with hydraulic braking (good power and modulation, self centring pads, minimal maintenance) without the expensive dedicated hydraulic shifter setup. We've also combined them with Jagwire KEB-SL compressionless outer for optimum performance. The devil's in the detail!
The new Tiagra 4700 GS medium cage rear derailleur is now rated to a 34T max sprocket size so that's what we've plumped for. As such the CdF 20 now sports a wall-climbingly low 1:1 (34/34T) low gear, giving you a smaller climbing gear to help with laiden voyages into the unknown.
