Product Details

With a tread design that deftly balances rolling speed with braking and cornering traction, it's hard to find fault with the Maxxis Minion DHF. That's probably why it's one of the most imitated tyres in mountain biking.

Whether riding local trails, a backcountry epic, racing enduro or World Cup downhill, there's a Minion DHF spec to meet your needs. The Minion DHF is available in trail, enduro, and downhill specs.

Tubeless ready
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure and therefore have better traction, the rolling resistance is lower than with hose, and where there is no hose, the risk of breakdowns is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other tubeless ready tyres, because the bead of our TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tyre. This means that tubeless mounting is successful with the first inflation and with little liquid on all rims that comply with the standard dimensions.Normal MAXXIS MTB tires can also be fitted with sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the carcass fabrics are very dense. However, only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless installation and guaranteed by MAXXIS, the tubeless installation of other models is at your own risk.

3C Maxx Terra
An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tires. 3C MaxxTerra is softer and offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip.

EXO+ PROTECTION
Our EXO+ construction combines two of our best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer runs from bead-to-bead with a layer of EXO along the sidewalls. Combined, these two materials create EXO+ which improves tread puncture protection by 27%; sidewall durability by 51%; and resistance to pinch flats by 28%.

Wide Trail Casing
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes tread layout and tyre shape on today's wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed for narrow rims and are too angular on wide rims for optimal performance.
WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but function perfectly on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.
