Forward motion becomes more efficient and the durability of the components allow more abuse in downhill rides. The SLX M7000 hydraulic disc brakes are the industry benchmark for affordable high performance components. The “Rider Tuned” position of the SLX BL-M7000 lever allows smooth, consistent and predictable operation of the hydraulic disc brake and in combination with cooling fins, you get high braking performance during any riding conditions.
All Terrain Cycles are now offering a Home Delivery service.
Our Cytech qualified mechanics will first make sure that your bike is fully checked and ready to ride.
Then we will deliver it completely assembled direct to your home or place of work where we will set up your bike for your personal needs and answer any questions you may have. All for just £50.00.
Our delivery map indicates a general area, however, if you do not see your location on the map please call us on 01274 588488 to discuss a special delivery.
After the first few weeks of use, the whole bike will settle down. As a result, the gears may need tweaking, some nuts and bolts may need tightening and you may well need to check the adjustment of the saddle and handlebars.
One of our Cytech qualified mechanics will hand build your bike leaving only a few minor adjustments for you to do once your new bike arrives. Our mechanic will also complete a rigorous Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) before carefully re-packing for shipping to you; but in order to fit the bike back into its box for delivery, some disassembly has to be done. Re-assembly of these parts should be straightforward and should not take very long.

Technology:
When you pull a servo wave brake lever initial pad travel is fast, so little lever movement is needed to bring the pads into contact with the rotor. The power multiplication factor then increases rapidly at the pad-to-rim contact so more of the lever stroke is used to apply greater braking power with improved control.
The XT levers are fit with the new I-Spec II system. This system combines the shifter and brake lever into one clamp that can be mounted on the handlebars. I-Spec II gives more freedom in cockpit placement, saves weight, and more mounting possibilities for a more ergonomic design. Easily installed with smaller clamps leaving more space on the handlebars. Maximum adjustment parameters: vertical 15°, horizontal 12 mm. I-Spec II brakes are not compatible with I-Spec or I-Spec B shifters.
One way bleeding was developed for quick and easy prevention of air in Shimano’s hydraulic system. Shimano has streamlined the oil route throughout the system to prevent air bubbles from being captured in the system. One way oil routing plus a funnel tool with mineral oil provides an easy and clean bleeding system.
The fade, which can occur to rotor and pad when braking on a long downhill ride for instance, has a negative impact on the braking performance. Shimano has adopted Ice Technology rotors and Ice Technology pads to realize the cooling technology for consistent performance. The rotor blade, which has a 3 layer-sandwich structure of stainless steel, aluminium and stainless steel, provides better radiation performance achieving from 400 °C to 300°C surface temperature. Also, the radiation fin has been adopted for the pad. Moreover, the rotor blade and the radiator fin provide long pad life, less noise, less fade and are lightweight.
XTR, Saint, Deore XT, SLX, Zee, Deore LX calipers are bundled with Ice Technology pistons in order to achieve optimized lightweight, high rigidity and heat dissipation. Oversized pistons transfer hydraulic power directly to the brake pad, and ceramic material is used to avoid heat transfer for constant stable braking, providing efficient stopping power transfer without loss.
