Cycling is a super way to minimize your environmental footprint - and with the Kathmandu SLX, CUBE goes one step further. How? By using as many recycled materials as possible. For the front light, for example, and for the mudguards made from recycled PET. In addition, Continental's new Pure Contact tires were made from sustainably sourced rubber. That may not sound like much, but it's a start. The measure of all things in terms of ease of use and reliable performance are the Shimano XT components. And thanks to the comfortable, easily adjustable RockShox Paragon Gold air suspension fork, any tour, no matter how long, will be a delight. The finishing touches are provided by the integrated IC 3.0 luggage rack, mudguards, lights and a side stand. CUBE's conclusion: this bike is the new gold standard for environmentally conscious mobility without CO2.

We've taken everything that's good about the Kathmandu and made it even better. So, for example, the reworked Integrated Carrier 3.0 is designed to work seamlessly with our Acid mudguard. We've fitted a flat mount for the rear disc brake – it also accommodates the kickstand – and used Smooth Welding to give the frame joints a tidy, organic appearance. But it's not all about looks. We also equipped the rear end with a thru axle and added a tapered head tube for improved rigidity and steering precision, even when fully laden. With internal cable routing to keep your gear shifts smooth with minimal maintenance, we reckon we've thought of everything. Just don't forget your toothbrush...
