Product Details - Marin Pine Mountain 2 Hardtail Mtb Bike 2025 Black
The Marin Pine Mountain 2 is our high-end, high-performance steel bikepacking mountain bike hardtail.
Our Series 3 CrMo version of the frame upgrades to higher-grade CrMo for a lively, zippier ride and has a bolt-through rear axle for a little added stiffness where it matters.
It’s built up with a RockShox FS 35 fork, Shimano SLX 12-speed drivetrain, Vee Tire Flow Snap 2.6” tires, powerful Shimano brakes and a super-useful dropper post for added comfort and speed. Last but not least, you’ve got our much-loved Marin Bedroll handlebar.
Key Upgrades from the Pine Mountain 1
- Series 3 CrMo frame w/12x148mm custom cast thru-axle dropouts
- RockShox FS 35 fork
- Shimano SLX 12-speed drivetrain & FSA Grid crankset
- TRP Slate EVO 4-piston disc brakes
Key Features
- Bikepacking Abilities: Brazed-in cargo attachment points throughout the front triangle for carrying all of the water and gear one needs for a proper adventure. The Marin-designed Bedroll Bar features a 50mm rise and a long, straight top bar for cleanly mounting handlebar packs away from cables and controls
- Trail Geometry: The Pine Mountain Trail Geometry is a mix between agility for trail riding, and all day comfort for bikepacking. Short chainsstays keep a shorter wheelbase for that active ride, while a 66.5 degree head angle makes for confident steering with or without the weight of gear.
