Electronic Chainsets
Electronic bicycle chainsets, used with systems such as SRAM eTap and Shimano Di2, represent the most advanced level of drivetrain technology. These systems use electronic signals instead of mechanical cables to control front and rear derailleurs, delivering fast, precise, and consistent shifting. Integrated with the chainset and crank, electronic drivetrains automatically trim the front derailleur to prevent chain rub and maintain optimal chain alignment. Wireless eTap reduces cable clutter, while Di2 is known for reliability and battery efficiency. Overall, electronic chainsets improve shifting accuracy, reduce maintenance, and enhance performance for road and gravel cyclists.
