Marin Rift Zone Full Suspension Mountain Bikes FAQs

What is MultiTrac Suspension Technology?

MultiTrac is a highly regarded suspension system designed to offer a smooth, controlled and efficient ride. It delivers excellent small-bump sensitivity while still handling bigger hits like a longer-travel setup, thanks to its rocker link and progressive leverage ratio. All Rift Zone models feature 130mm of rear travel, providing a balanced blend of comfort, control and pedalling efficiency.

Can the Rift Zone Jr 24" grow with my child?

Yes — the Rift Zone Jr 24" is designed to grow with young riders. It uses the same frame, fork and shock as the Rift Zone Jr 26", so when your child is ready, you can simply swap the 24" wheels for 26" ones and fit longer cranks. This allows the bike to adapt as they grow, saving you from having to replace the full bike later.

How often does a mountain bike need maintenance?

It is advised to service your bike every 3-4 months for intense riding or tough conditions, while less aggressive riders can service every 6 months to a year. Keep in mind that your bike will require its initial service after 4 to 6 weeks, once the cables and components have settled in. We advise having a qualified mechanic perform this service.
