The DT Swiss RR 421 Asymmetric is a premium aluminium rim engineered for modern road cycling.
Featuring a generous 20 mm internal width, it accommodates wider tyres while maintaining a featherlight 430-gram weight—ideal for endurance road disc brake builds. The asymmetrical profile counterbalances the offset created by disc brake hubs, optimising spoke angles for more uniform tension and enhanced wheel stiffness.
Position the offset towards the drive side on the front wheel and away on the rear for optimal performance.
Fully compatible with both standard clinchers and tubeless road tyres using DT Swiss tubeless tape and valves. Assembled with Squorx ProHead nipples and PHR washers for maximum durability without added weight.
Strength Boost Welding Technology delivers a perfectly welded, reliable construction. The tough black coating provides both resilience and visual appeal. Specifications include Presta drilling, 24 mm outer width, 21 mm height, 601 mm ERD with PHR washers, and maximum spoke tension of 1200 N.
Rated for systems up to 120 kg. For heavier-duty applications, consider the RR 521. A versatile upgrade that transforms your road bike's performance.
