The E-MTB version of the Fortus 30W has extra features to handle the demands of electric mountain bikes by fitting a heavy-duty steel freehub body. The 30mm internal rim width is the perfect choice for running chunky enduro tyres of widths 2.4" – 2.8".
The Fortus 30W rim comes built onto Hope's superb Pro 5 E-MTB hub, Hope's latest high-performance, bomb-proof hub. Outstanding performance, reliability and extremely easy to maintain.
Wheel can be set up with tubes or tubeless. Tape and valve for tubeless set-up are included.
The new Pro 5 hub features improved sealing to stop dirt ingress and reduce drag, with a new Labyrinth seal delivering zero-drag freewheeling performance. The redesigned pawls and springs increase longevity and load capacity while reducing drag. A new step-down axle design creates a stiffer, more durable freehub, and the updated hub body profile increases stiffness without adding weight. Fully serviceable and rebuildable with simple tools, it's built to last.
