With the 858 NSW, ZIPP presents its ultimate aero wheelset for road bike, triathlon and time trial.
Thanks to ZIPP's "Total System Efficiency" concept (TSE), the advanced carbon wheels are even faster than ever before. They combine the positive characteristics of high rims with a low weight, which is normally only achieved with 20 mm lower profiles.
The inner rim width of 23 mm is ideal for running wider tires with lower pressure. This not only reduces rolling resistance, riders also benefit from a smoother ride and less fatigue. This is particularly advantageous for the subsequent running section in a triathlon. Meanwhile, the wave-shaped HyperFoil profile with its differentiated SawTooth rim depth of 82/85 mm and the HexFin ABLC dimple structure ensures maximum aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. The result is pure speed.
With its optimized rim bed, which noticeably simplifies tire mounting, the 858 NSW wheelset furtherly scores with a very practical feature. The wheels are rounded off by the ZR1 SL premium hubs, which are 30 grams lighter than the previous version and have ceramic hybrid bearings, which also benefit the rolling behaviour. In addition, their focus on disc brakes guarantees more reliable speed control and braking power in all weather conditions.
