The XPLR models developed in collaboration with Goodyear are part of a wheel and tyre system that turns the rules in Gravel sports upside down.
The Tubeless tyres have been matched to the Hookless rims of the 303 XPLR wheels (S and SW) from ZIPP which feature an internal width of 32 mm.
Their Dynamic:UHP compound not only improves grip, but also reduces rolling resistance. Meanwhile, the M:Wall reinforcements in the sidewalls provide optimum protection against cuts and punctures, so that riders can get by with the lowest possible air pressure. And finally, the dimensions of the tyre beads are designed to not only allow convenient mounting, but also to ensure a secure grip on the TSS rims.
The "Slick" version is the most aerodynamic option making it deal for fast Gravel racing on flat to medium terrain. The folding tyre performs best in dry conditions. The smooth centre profile enables fast rolling characteristics, while the textured side support provides a safe riding experience. Overall, the lightweight and supple construction of the Slick XPLR improves ride quality.
